LEGO 10267 Gingerbread House Instructions, Creator Expert

Since I think this if the first village set with a toilet, there will be a long line of people waiting to get in the door! Also funny that the first restroom comes in the set with "non" people. Either way, mine arrives tomorrow and I look forward to adding it to the collection. Sweets represent more furniture inside the bedroom, most notably including the bed that resembles a pink wafer! The matching bedside table looks delightful and features a pink lampshade while the cot is cleverly designed using a 1x2x2 window frame.

Sugar Stained Glass Gingerbread House

I absolutely love the roof on the gingerbread house, which gives this model its signature look. It mimics the look of icing on the gingerbread house which also doubles as a heavy cover of snow. The minifigure selection is limited but adequately populates the gingerbread house and I like the tiny gingerbread baby, even though it is simply represented by a printed tile. This adorable set is not the first gingerbread house produced by LEGO. While reminiscent of the 2019 model, the original gingerbread house was smaller and only available as a gift with purchase.

Details

Unfortunately, these figures lack printing on their arms and legs but they remain appealing in my opinion. Winter Village sets are generally appropriate for communal building and two instruction manuals are accordingly provided. However, the division of construction between these seems uneven as the first manual features accessories while the second focuses upon the beautiful Gingerbread House. When you purchase it, you’ll get to enjoy tinkering with the four included figurines and the reindeer with a sled. Throw in the Christmas tree, piano, ship, plane, and naughty-nice list, and you have a complete holiday workshop going on.

Edible Fairy House

The bed looks like a bar of white chocolate, and there’s a cotton candy (fairy floss for you Aussies) lampshade as well. On the house’s right side is an alternate entrance, complete with candy cane pillars. There’s also an outdoor picnic table, which has bits of ice/icing (man, I love the double entendre in this case) hanging off the edges. Similar detail adorns the Gingerbread Woman, whose beautiful pink icing contrasts with the reddish brown chocolate icing which has appeared on past gingerbread minifigures. The eyelashes and rosy cheeks are superb and I like the dress component.

Love the larger Gingerbread House, but want something more accessible? This is the smaller gingerbread house set I mentioned earlier, released a few years before the larger gingerbread house (2015). Due to the complexity of the building process and the set’s tiny pieces, it’s not ideal for small children. And if anyone starts nibbling a little too much on your pretzel porch or fondant beer cooler, you can always add that dinosaur.

Prepare to top your gingerbread house with gumdrops, jelly beans, candy canes and a coating of powdered sugar snow. Whichever Christmas candy you chose, you're guaranteed to have a ton of fun making these sugary creations. So gather your favorite sweet treats and get decorating — then grab a mug of hot cocoa, kick back and marvel at your gingerbread masterpiece. Furthermore, the tiled floor is excellent, incorporating white and teal pieces which create an attractive pattern. The teal 1x1 tiles have only appeared in two previous sets so appear especially enticing. The neighbouring lounge also offers exceptional detail, featuring an armchair with chocolate cushions and an imposing fireplace which is surrounded by stockings, candles and a charming family portrait.

I am particularly satisfied with the green gift and its pretzel bow! The heart-shaped present looks great too, including the 3x3 heart plate that was introduced at the beginning of 2019. Lavender 1x1 curved pieces are also provided and the miniature truck looks perfect in my opinion. This rendition resembles the model from Winter Village Fire Station, featuring layered wedge plates which create an impressive conical shape. However, this design offers superior texture and the decorations are more realistic, especially towards the top where trans-yellow diamond elements form the star. Only two minifigures are included which is unusual within the Winter Village collection, although I think additional characters may be unnecessary.

Features of the LEGO Gingerbread House

They’re based off the same Gingerbread Man mould from LEGO Minifigures Series 13, with a few small cosmetic changes such as the aforementioned facial features, but also red candy buttons on their bodies. In 2019, LEGO flips the formula on the head once again with a whimsical fantasy build, with the delightfully charming Gingerbread House. Waiting for a Christmas promo GWP but definitely excited to get this set. I'll be picking this up when there is a GWP (probably during Black Friday).

Let’s sink our teeth into this set and see if it’s worth the hype. LEGO must’ve done something right as the set has been sold out for weeks now, which speaks to how well its been received by LEGO fans. "Presumably the baby was recently removed from the oven so remains on a baking tray!" is certainly a sentence I never expected to read on a Lego fan site. I usually find winter stuff far too kitschy, but I could see myself getting this piece. This set was provided for review by The LEGO Group but the review is an expression of my own opinions. Let us know by liking this article and share your opinion of the set in the comments below.

While there is no warranty information for the LEGO Gingerbread House, LEGO stands behind its products. If you’re unsatisfied with your purchase, they encourage you to reach out and/or return your set for a refund. Like most LEGO sets, the LEGO Gingerbread House is a bit on the expensive side. At the moment, you can purchase this set from major retailers for between $80 and $190. If you plan to buy, it should be soon; its almost-retired status makes it increasingly difficult to find. Another unique aspect of the LEGO Gingerbread House is that it’s the second fantasy-themed Winter Village set.

I like how the bathroom has been divided from the bedroom as well, despite the low roof height. The reddish brown walls include comparable detail, most notably below each upstairs window where white plates and tiles are attached sideways to form beams. This construction technique is extremely effective and the roof peaks are impressive too, including some Technic connectors which provide an absolutely rigid connection between separate panels. Ten years have elapsed since the Winter Village range was introduced and this appealing series maintains consistent popularity.

This set is ideal for older children or adults who enjoy collecting sets or are up for a building challenge. Due to its “limited” status, there’s high demand for this set among collectors and doting parents. If you really want to go all out this Christmas, get to work on this epic gingerbread village — it makes for an impressive, sugary holiday centerpiece. With red sour belt shingles and Tootsie Roll siding, this edible rustic log cabin sets the scene for the ultimate sugar-filled winter wonderland. These stores currently offer Same Day Delivery for select postcodes within a 10km radius of their store. Click store below to see what sets are currently available for Same Day customers.

It also includes a decorated Christmas tree with wrapped gifts and toys, including a rocking horse and a toy train. This advanced LEGO set delivers a challenging and rewarding building experience and makes a great seasonal centerpiece for the home or office. 10267 Gingerbread House represents an interesting departure from many earlier Winter Village sets, favouring fantasy over realism.

Our team has their prize builds on their respective shelves, and has a pulse on all the latest LEGO sets, and those on the horizon! Some customers were upset that the Holiday Christmas Tree was smaller than they anticipated, and others found it too expensive. That said, this set is a nice, simple alternative to the Gingerbread House, and it’s full of Christmas spirit. I can see why this iconic LEGO set is in high demand right now. If you’re on the hunt for a gift sure to please your LEGO-loving partner or child next holiday season, this is it.
